Does anybody out there remember Club 'BETTER DAYS' (1972- 1988) formerly known as 'CLUB RENAISSANCE' - which was located on 49th Street between Eighth & Ninth Avenues in the heart of New York City's Broadway Theater District! Remember the round bar...who could forget 'TEE SCOTT'...only considered one of the hottest DISC JOCKEY'S of that era...and now of all time! Remember the lounge located in the clubs' exterior...then called the BACK ROOM...which contained another DANCE PLATFORM known as the HUSTLE FLOOR...later used for a MODELING SHOWROOM which created a dance competition amongst young Gay African American Men which began a DANCE CRAZE trend known as 'THE VOGUE! Remember BJ the curly head 6"4' BOUNCER. Who could forget those incredible music mixes...'LOVE IS THE MESSAGE', 'IT'S NOT OVER'! I'm talking about one of the hottest BLACK GAY DISCO'S/BAR'S in NEW YORK CITY - 1972-1988? What happened to all the 'CHILDREN (Young Black Gay Men) from this error?...'PARIS IS BURNING'...where is everyone? We need not forget this important part of the BLACK GAY trend that led to MADONNA'S VOGUE! We NEED TO BE HEARD! SO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTRIBUTE ANY MEMORABILIA AS THIS IS OUR OPPORTUNITY TO ALLOW YOUR VOICES TO BE HEARD! The 'BETTER DAYS' era was a critical one in that this was when AIDS made a huge impact in the GAY African American Community.

EVERY TIME I HEAR "HAPPY DAYS" & "HELP IS ON THE WAY" I CAN FEEL HIS SPIRIT. You ain't lying! I am a caucation male and I really enjoyed the music and scene that 'BETTER DAY'S' provided! Tee Scott was really one of the all time greatest DJ's in his time...truly making him a LEGEND IN HIS OWN TIME!
